In many cases you can increase your insurance benefit without giving any medical details providing that the total benefit after the increase is less than the “medical-free limit”:

  • by up to 30% each year; or
  • if the extra insurance is taken out within one month after your marriage, or after the birth of one of your children.

If you wish to increase your benefit and you don’t fit into one of these circumstances and/or you want to increase your benefit above the “medical-free limit”, you can do so provided you supply the appropriate medical evidence as requested by the insurer.
